Standard for sea packaging of steel structure products
1. Requirements for packaging materials
Wooden box/iron box
The wooden box should be sturdy and rainproof design, equipped with load-bearing sleepers at the bottom and reserved forklift holes, and the weight of a single box should not exceed 1 ton.
The iron box is suitable for long-distance transportation, the box body is firmly welded and the lifting lugs are set, and the steel plate can be recycled later.
Strapping and packing
Slender components (such as rods, tie bars) can be bundled with woven bags or wires, and the weight of each bundle should not be too large, so as to avoid the spreader directly hooking and bundling materials.
2. Anti-rust and sealing treatment
All steel structures need to be treated with anti-rust treatment (e.g. anti-rust oil or galvanized) and encapsulated with moisture-proof materials (plastic film, woven bags) to prevent seawater erosion.
The welded seams must meet the requirements of the "Maritime Hazard Regulations": liquid containers above 40L need to be fully welded, and small-capacity containers can be mechanically combined or welded.
3. Fixation and reinforcement methods
Internal buffering
Use foam boards, air cushion films, or wood strips to fill the voids to reduce collisions caused by transport vibrations.
External reinforcement
Large goods need to be fixed with steel belts, wire ropes or straps, and rubber pads are installed on the contact parts to prevent wear; Coil steel and other need to be skids anti-slip. Pallet stacking needs to be centered in the center of gravity and fixed with stretch film or strapping.
4. Identification and labeling specifications
The packaging should be clearly marked with weight, size, number, hoisting point and other information. Dangerous goods or special goods shall be affixed with classification labels and warning signs in accordance with the International Maritime Dangerous Goods Code.
5. Handling of special components
Small Parts/Spare Parts
Parts below 25kg need to be packed or bundled, with a packing list and marked with number, net weight, etc. Precision components
When it is fixed and transported with the main body, it needs to be bolted or bundled to avoid loss or deformation.
